The groundbreaking for Memorial Medical Center Urgent Care was back on June 16, 2023, and it has taken 2 years for the ribbon cutting that finally happened on Friday, June 27, 2025. Anthony Mayor Diana Murillo opened the ceremony by giving a speech on the efforts that the City of Anthony went through to bring this much needed urgent care to the community. Thanks to the support of State Rep Doreen Gallegos, then City Manager Mario Juarez-Infante and former trustee Ava Flores they were able to receive the funding of $1.5 million in federal money and $1.55 million in New Mexico capital outlay.

The second is public safety, and Anthony New Mexico Police Department through their hard work and leadership has been voted the third safest city in New Mexico and third is access to health care and with this beautiful facility the residents of Anthony will not have to go far to get it”.
The person to lead operations over the facility is Memorial Medical CEO Dennis Knox. Knox said, “This was a long time happening and this exemplifies Memorial Medical’s dedication by extending our healthcare throughout southern New Mexico.”
